Welcome to the Sweet Bliss Photography Blog.
This is my little home on the Internet. My name is Jenny and I am a stay at home mama, turned professional photographer. I have two passions, my family and my photography, in that order. Really, they go hand in hand. I am a crazy lady living in a house with three girlie's and one big boy, I call my husband. I love creating one of a kind images I like to think of as artwork. After all, the babies I created are far more beautiful than any painting money can buy. The truth is time flies, in a blink of an eye your children change and your life goes on. Let me create images, pieces of your heart, to hold forever. I know their are lots of different choices available in choosing a photographer. I will turn your perfectly imperfect captures into timeless images you will forever cherish. I am different, I am fun, I am real, I am sweet bliss photography. Thank you for stopping by:)

I never know just how to start this post, even though it comes every year on this exact date. Seven years ago today I lost my Father to Cancer. It was so sureal, holding his hand as he slowly left us to go to the most beautiful place on earth. Each year has gotten a bit easier and I no longer cry nearly as much as I use to. I think the hardest part for me was the fact that I was so young, only 27. I only had one baby, she was just under two years old at the time. Now my life is filled with three crazy little people running around. Today I light a candle, just as I do every year, just so he knows when he sees that flickering light from heaven above, he needs to be with me today. I love you Dad.

Dear Dad,

I can hardly believe I have been without you for seven years. Well, I know I am not without you, I know your with me, I just can't see you and I hate that part:( Not one day goes by when I don't think of you. Seriously, I really do think of you at least once a day. Sometimes I even see people that remind me of you and the tears start to fall. Just little tears though. I hate having the urge to go and hug a complete stranger. I miss your sense of humor the most and the way you always told me the things I always thought I already knew. I would give my left arm to hear you tell me to check my oil just one more time. All five of your grandbabies know you by name even though four of them never got to meet you in person. We celebrate your Birthday, I am sure you have caught a few of those balloons with the pictures dangling from the string. I love you more than you will ever know and have so much admiration for you now that I am a Mommy. I am thinking about you today and always! xoxox Me

PS I can't for the life of me figure out why my writing is centered like this;) So you'll all just have to deal with it, lol.

Remember her/me?

O.K. folks, it's been a long time. I know I am a horrible blogger! My life took some unexpected twists and turns. I didn't fall off along the way, I am still here, holding on tight. Things are starting to come together for us and I see sunshine up ahead. I trust in God, he is my leader, and I follow him where ever he takes me. At this point I am not even asking questions, just trusting:) Thanks everyone for checking in on me and the blog comments, once November is over, I will be back to chat with all my photog friends, I miss you all so much. xoxoxo

NOW ONTO THE BLOG POST ALREADY.....

Some of you may remember THIS< little beauty, well she has grown and grown. Though she wasn't too fond of me and my camera, we still managed to get a handful of adorable pictures. The Q family was awesome to work with and such beautiful people inside and out. I enjoyed seeing little V again. Baaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh, baaaahhhhaaaahhhh, that's my sheep sound and an inside joke;)

Just sharing a few from our beach trip on Fathers Day. It was SO windy, but we grinned and bared it. We all had a great time. I love my hubby, he is such an amazing Daddy:)
PS if you look at the little crab, he has a smiley face on the top of his shell, the girls got a real kick out of it:) (click the image to get a bigger view)

New updated site, and a very helpful link:)

As much as I like to think everyone who views my blog is desperate for a session with me, lol. I know that's not the case. I get many other photographers who like to peek at my work from time to time. I myself am a self proclaimed blog stalker. I have so many favorites I can't even count them on all my fingers and toes. I have recently met Deb, she is a photographer based out of San Diego. Long before I ever thought of picking up a camera I would stare at her site in awwwwhhh. She captures the purest, most magical moments. Her blog is filled with heart warming stories and she is the most giving and wonderful person. She is (out of the kindness of her heart) now posting some awesome information about what it takes to start your own photography business. All based on her trial and error, free information just because.... that's how Deb rolls:) Grab a tissue or a box for that matter, a cup of coffee, and an appreciation for the small things, and go check out Debs blog.

On a side note, I updated my website if anyone would like to see some of my newer work. In the photo above, my youngest helped herself to the sprinkles, needless to say I have been sweeping up the little round things for days, lol. Nope I didn't even get mad, see Debs teaching me to appreciate the little things;)

Exited to be learning more:)

Click image to show a larger preview:) Bigger is better;)

This one was actually taken in the shade. I just wanted to show it off cause she looks so cute:)

I am so exited and just had to share with all of you! I am going to be taking an on-line workshop at the end of this month. The instructor is the amazing Detra, of Photography by Detra. She takes pictures with the type of light that brings you to your knees. She has been a huge inspiration to me for a long time. I can't believe I get to learn from the master herself! For all my photographer friends, run on over to her blog and enter her contest. You can win a free spot for her workshop and runners up get an awesome discount. Since I already signed up for the contest I can't enter. The theme is orange and I still wanted to play. Here are a few pictures I have done practicing with light I usually run the other direction from. I am confident Dee's workshop will take me to the next level. I can't wait to jump in and see the light!

O.K. Ladies and Gentlemen, I am back on a roll!

Double click to see the images larger:)

I got to share Saturday evening with Erin and Ben. They are so dang sweet and cute together. It was freezing and they made the best of it. Neither of them ever complained once! After we were finished with the shoot I came home and squeezed my hubby so tight. All their love rubbed off on me. They are going to make a gorgeous bride and groom. I personally am more exited about the baby down the road. ;) This is a sneak peek from the first card, I will post another one later this week when I upload the second card.(yes I took that many pictures)

It's been awhile, catching up here:)

So I have not blogged in a few months, bad me;) I have been so busy trying to build my new website/blog I have neglected this one. It looks like I won't be finished with the new site for a month at least, so I am back to this ugly ol boring blog. On an up note, I got to meet baby Vivianna last week. She was wide awake and wasn't too interested in sleeping. Thank goodness her parents stuck around long enough for us to get her to sleep. Though we couldn't move her to much without waking her, the few shots I did get are just beautiful. She will be one of the fresh new faces on my website. Thanks again Elder and Naomi for sharing your princess with me.

Oldie's but goodies...

Who's checkin me out
